Guy Martin Land Speed Record latest: pics from the first run are in – Guy’s verdict on the test: “Spot on”

Guy Martin has said that his first ever powered run in the Triumph Streamliner world land speed record machine was “Spot on” and that being out in Utah at the famous Bonneville Salt Flats was, “Lush”.

The Lincolnshire lad is undertaking the Land Speed Record attempt in the twin-Rocket III engine powered, 1000bhp Streamliner with Triumph. The actual record attempt is happening later this month but yesterday Martin headed out for the first practice run in the outfit. No times from the practice efforts have so far been released by the Triumph team.

Guy and the squad will need to reach speeds close to 400mph to gain the record back for the British factory.
