Four years ago, John McGuinness came in third in the Superstock TT race aboard his Padgett’s HM Plant Honda CBR1000RR, at an average speed of 126.7mph. And you could get your hands on your own piece of TT history, as McGuinness’s race bike is up for sale.
McGuinness, who has sadly had to sit out this year’s TT after his off at the NW200, is the second most successful rider around the Mountain course, with 23 solo wins to his name – sitting just behind Joey Dunlop, who achieved 26.
In 2013, the ‘Morecambe Missile’ had a fantastic race week, coming away with five podiums, a fourth place and, of course, the victory in the Senior TT. The bike, a race-spec Honda CBR100RR, is exactly as it finished its last race, with the screen and fairing spattered with insects, and six laps of tyre wear from the race.
If you’re interested in owning a podium machine as ridden by John McGuinness, It’s up for sale at the Padgett’s dealership in Batley for £36,000. Click HERE to take a look.
