VIDEO: Richard Hammond rides a TVS Star HLX across Mozambique for the Grand Tour Season Finale

Famed for their four-wheeled TV endeavours, the chaps from the Grand Tour occasionally decide to opt for two-wheels instead – and in the season finale, Richard Hammond took a TVS Star HLX across Mozambique.

For the Grand Tour season finale, Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May decided to end world hunger (and by world, they meant a small village called Bingo in Mozambique). For the adventure, James May chose a 1984 Mercedes 200T Wagon, Clarkson drove a Nissan Hardbody 4×4 while Hammond decided to get his hands on a brand new TVS Star HLX.

The Indian manufactured TVS Star HLX 125 was developed exclusively for the African commuter market, powered by a 125cc EcoThrust engine which kicks out 11bhp of power – and the little commuter had an undeniably tough time in Mozambique, as Hammond and the HLX battled through treacherous conditions to reach Bingo.
