HUGE RUMOURS: Jet-powered MV Agusta on the way?

MV Agusta’s eccentric CEO Giovanni Castiglioni has hinted that the iconic Italian brand is working on a brand new exclusive superbike – and there’s talk that it’s going to be jet powered!

Iconic Italian motorcycle manufacturer, MV Agusta, has recently undergone a resurgence of sorts, after years of financial instability and uncertainty – but thanks to a series of big investments in recent times, it has cemented itself back in the motorcycle mainstream. And now, MV’s eccentric CEO Giovanni Castiglioni has hinted that it’s not resting on his laurels…

Of course, there will be revisions to the current crop of MV’s including the RVS, RC, and RR families – but what we’re most excited about is the one-off superbike, called the ‘One to One’.

Castiglioni has hinted that the bike will be powered by something other than a conventional gas engine – and it won’t be electric. He said: “Alternative propulsion doesn’t mean electric. All I can say is it will make a lot of power and noise.

It’s a radically different, never seen before propulsion-wise project. Not just design, but the way everything works is different. It’s kind of a mix of everything.”

Ok, so we’re not convinced that it’s going to be a jet-powered MV Agusta – but regardless, we can’t wait to see what the Italians come up with. Reports suggest that the first examples of this special ‘One to One’ MV Agusta will be available towards the middle of 2019 – and that it’ll set punters back in excess of 200,000 Euros.
