TEN fully-restored AJS 7R 2 ‘Boy Racers’ up for SALE

Between 1961 and 1963, AJS dominated the Junior TT of the Isle of Man, with its AJS 7R ‘Boy Racer’ – and now, you can get your hands on a piece of motorcycling history, because there are TEN fully-restored machines up for sale.

The AJS 7R was produced between 1948 and 1963. The bikes racing prowess first became apparent in 1950, when Les Graham won the Grand Prix of Switzerland – ending the dominance of Moto Guzzi and Norton. His successes continued right through until 1968 when Alan Barnett won the last race at the Grand Prix of Great Britain – and in between the AJS took three consecutive victories at the IOMTT, between 61 and 63.

And now, French racing driver Bernard Guerin has put ten copies of the AJS 7R up for sale. Manufactured between 1948 and 1963, Bernard began collecting the copies back in the 70s, and has spent some serious time and cash having them all fully restored, and getting them running.

The bikes are up for sale on Classic Driver, with an asking price of 450,000 euros (45,000 euros for each bike). If you’re interested in getting your hands on a piece of motorcycling history – click HERE.
