Dead battery? Don’t worry; it’s easy enough to get your bike started using this simple bump-start trick.
We were about to head out on a photoshoot earlier this week, and realised our test bike wouldn’t start. Of course, if it’s convenient you could just stick the battery on charge – but that’s not always possible. Thankfully, it’s simple enough to bump-start a bike. Here’s how.
Ok, so it’s not the most graceful of techniques – but it’s not the only way to go about it. You could run alongside the bike, and catch it on the clutch as it kicks into life. Or you could even point it down a hill and negate any need to paddle. Either way, if you get caught out with a flat battery this winter – you should now be able to bump-start your bike without too much trouble.
