Husqvarna has just unveiled three new models at EICMA in Milan – and two of them will be making it to market in 2019. The headline news is the big reveal of its new production Svartpilen 701 – which joins the Svartpilen 401 and Vitpilen 401 and 701 in the iconic Swedish brands street bike line up. That’s not all though, there’s also a brand new Vitpilen 701 AERO concept model, and its first electric motorcycle, the EE 5.
Building on the successes of its ‘Pilen models which were unveiled last year, Husky has unveiled its all-new SVARTPILEN 701. The street-oriented, stripped-back, flat-track-inspired machine has been created for the new generation of motorcyclists, who prefer a simpler, timeless design.
The SVARTPILEN 701 is powered by a lightweight 4-stroke single-cylinder engine that kicks out 75hp of power and 72.0 Nm of torque. Its lightweight and powerful engine is housed within a stripped-down chassis and bodywork layout. Using high-grade chromium molybdenum steel, its trellis frame should help to provide precise handling. It also features high quality and fully-adjustable WP suspension and Brembo brakes with Bosch’s latest ABS system.
