Honda Racing has just released the first episode of their brand new ‘Road to Race’ web series, which looks at just what’s involved when transforming a road-spec Fireblade into a race-ready Superbike.
The first episode of the new series goes behind the scenes of the three Honda Racing teams, at their workshop in Louth in Lincolnshire, and focuses on the road, endurance and British Superbike teams, as they prepare for their 2017 championships with the all-new CBR1000RR Fireblade SP2.
It is an awesome piece of film that gives an amazing insight into the history (and numerous successes) of HRC Honda, and shows some of hard work involved to get the standard bikes up to race standard – and by the sound of it, the new bikes are better than ever.
The first episode ends with a truck full of bikes headed for Monteblanco in Spain for testing – so we’re hoping that the next episode shows us Honda HRC riders tearing around the famous Spanish circuit on the new bikes.
