I therefore needed a jacket that would not only look the part and protect me, but also deal with excessive heat. As fate would have it, I chose well. Crafted with a waxed cotton canvas outer, the breathable shell did a top job of fending off the Brunt of 40C day after day. I felt comfortable and safe and found the numerous adjusters helped me to achieve a really good fit on my torso.

Laden with both external and internal pockets, the Steve AB comfortably carried all I asked it to, including my notepads, pens, wallets and phone. It’s not handbag, but the point is that you can pack a decent amount of gear into it. My only qualm was with the relatively short sleeve length, which resulted in a couple of random tan lines on both wrists. Overall, I really rated the jacket though and would recommend it to others.
