A man from Lancashire, visiting the The Isle of Man for this year’s Southern 100 road race, has received a police caution after trespassing on the race course so that he could take photographs of the racers in action.
Manx police confirmed that the man, said to be in his 30s, ran across the course at around 10.30am at Ballakeighan Corner, while the formation lap was taking place.
He was reported to race marshals and subsequently arrested by police.
The man was released after being given a police caution.
