Unveiled at the World Congress on Intelligent Transportation Systems in Copenhagen, Honda’s new SMART Africa Twin comes equipped with V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) technology, which is a clever bit of kit aimed at improving communication between motorcycles and other vehicles, to help reduce the number of road accidents, and the smoother flow of traffic.

At the minute, Honda hasn’t revealed any in depth technical details about its latest technological advancement – or made any announcements about whether it’ll make it to market. Last year at the same event, Honda had already turned its attention to V2X technology – creating ‘swarm safety’ systems which replicate the coordinated and effective movements of a school of fish, and apparently help to allow integrated communication between vehicles to reduce traffic congestion and improve safety. Clever.
