Frankie goes to Newark. Pierfrancesco Chili confirmed as GUEST OF HONOUR at the Newark Winter Classic.

Pierfrancesco ‘Frankie’ Chili has been confirmed as the Guest of Honour at the Carole Nash Classic Bike Guide Winter Classic at Newark showground, which takes places across the 11-12 January 2020.

Bologna born Frankie had a long and successful career in racing, winning the 125cc European Championship in 1985 before moving on to the Grand Prix 250 and 500cc World Championships, before cementing himself in World Superbikes – claiming 10 pole positions and 17 wins while competing against the likes of Carl Fogarty, Troy Corser, Colin Edwards and Noriyuki Haga.

The charismatic Italian will be on stage with Steve Plater during both days of the show – and will be presenting the awards on Sunday afternoon.

Fans will also have the opportunity to WIN lunch with Frankie when buying bike advance e-tickets to the show before December 6. All buyers will be automatically entered in to a free prize draw to win two seats and eat alongside Frankie and local racing celebrity Steve Plater. It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity to spend time with a real racing hero.

The show will also feature many of its regular attractions, including the return Motogymkhana UK, who will be offering free sessions to visitors when booked in advance. More details on how to book will be available on the show website in the next few weeks.

Organisers are working hard behind the scenes to secure trade and autojumble sales, to book in clubs and private classic bike and scooter displays to ensure another packed out show for visitors.
