French custom bike specialist Bad Winners recently revealed its brilliant bolt-on kit for Husqvarna’s Vitpilen 701 – and it’s just converted a bike for Formula One racer Charles Leclerc.

The new kit is a result of Leclerc contacting Bad Winners with some ideas for a project. He cited the Apex kit which the custom house created for Yamaha’s FZS600 a few years ago as his inspiration. But he wanted to use a new Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 as a base. The resulting bike’s called the Apex 2.0.

The custom Vitpilen gets a new set of carbon rims from Dymag, carbon fibre bodywork, a headlight from a KTM 790, a TFT dash, new indicators, a new rear light and a new leather seat.

Bad Winners also spent a bit of time working on the Vitpilen’s 693cc single cylinder engine – upping power from 75bhp to 85bhp with the help of an SC Project stainless steel exhaust system with a carbon damper, a sports air filter and a retune for the injection system.

Best of all, the Apex 2.0 kit for the Husqvarna Vitpilen 701 is available for all – and you don’t have to be a Formula One racer to afford it because Bad Winners has made the Apex 2.0 kit available in four different configurations costing from 14,690 to 20,990 euros (which works out at around £12,500 to £18,000) with the bike included. Or if you’ve already got a Vitpilen 701, the kit will cost between £3,000 to £9,000.
