Holy Batcycle! It’s the NEW Batman on the NEW Batbike. But can YOU tell which motorcycle is underneath the cafe-thug look and black paint?

Shots have emerged of rehearsals underway in Glasgow for the upcoming Batman film. In the grabbed shots, a body/stunt double for move mega-star Robert Pattinson can be seen riding the new Batcycle – and it looks pretty cool.

Bar-end mirrors, massive cylinder blocks, rorty cafe-racer bend pipes and a retro slap-on top fairing all make the latest incarnation of the Bat’s two-wheeled ride pretty much bang-on poseur’s trend.

The bike was being ridden around the Necropolis cemetery near Glasgow Cathedral and Glasgow Royal Infirmary, the location will become part of the city of Gotham in the upcoming film, The Batman.

Further filming is expected to take place around Glasgow at various locations, so if you fancy catching a glimpse of the Bat getting all bikey (but without the beard, braces or flat cap) then it might be worth having a trip out to the city.

The film, which will focus on the second year of the Batman’s storyline from DC Comics, is due to be released in June 2021 and alongside Pattinson it stars Colin Farrell, Peter Sarsgaard and Zoe Kravitz.

It’s the first time we’ve seen a new Batcycle since 2008’s The Dark Knight movie where the truck-tyred hinged-chassis creation was developed and ridden by French stunt ace (and former trials champion who once competed on the televised 1970s BBC TV series Kick Start) Jean-Pierre Goy.
