EICMA 2014 is an important event for the Kawasaki brand with the introduction of an impressive line-up of six new models. A new addition to the green family is the Z300, the world’s first 300cc Supernaked and destined to be a significant contender in the entry-level class.

Based on the success of the Ninja 300, the Z300 fills a market void in a growing motorcycle segment.  Combining Z style and Ninja performance, this sharp and edgy new machine offers the thrill of its older brothers in the Z family. It is set to offer accessibility to a wide audience of new riders in search of a practical and sporty bike as well as more experienced riders looking for a fun and capable daily ride, retaining the prestige of the larger capacity models in the Kawasaki range.

At the heart of the Z300 beats the same highly-regarded fuel-injected 296 cm3 Parallel Twin power plant as the Ninja 300.  Despite its size, the technology used is comparable with the larger machines in the Z family.  Among key features are the dual throttle valves which deliver strong power and torque at all rpm.  Another great advantage is the Assist and Slipper Clutch that reduces clutch lever effort and facilitates slicker down changes.

The dynamic riding potential of the new Z300 offers maximum urban excitement, allied to a circuit-proven frame designed to harness the able and balanced engine power. A flat, wide handlebar facilitates active rider control along with the 37mm telescopic fork.  Matched to the engine’s performance and rigid frame, the supple settings of the fork deliver superb ride comfort in the city and smooth, stable handling when sport riding.  At the rear, Kawasaki’s famous Uni-Trak suspension delivers a smooth ride and stable handling over a wide range of speeds and road conditions.

Adding to this sporty image and ride, petal disc brake rotors embellish the front and rear to deliver strong stopping power and superb controllability. Furthermore, for maximum confidence, an optional ABS version is available featuring one of the most compact and advanced ABS units on the market.

The aggressive and sharp Sugomi styling is complemented by a sporty instrument package which combines a large, analogue-style tachometer with a multi-function LCD screen. Amber LED backlighting adds to the Z300’s forceful Supernaked image.

Make everyday a new thrill with the new Z300 offering Z style and Ninja performance in one exciting package.  Whether it is a familiar ride or a fun blast out of town, it just takes one turn of the key to start the journey of discovery. Kawasaki Z300 – It’s Showtime!
