Kawasaki’s legendary KLE name is back for 2026, reborn as a midweight, rally-styled adventure bike ready to take on the world. Think lightweight trellis chassis, proper off-road poise, and the use of the brand’s proven 451cc parallel-twin motor with assist and slipper clutch… all wrapped up in bodywork that screams Dakar vibes.
Up front, a tall screen and stubby 16-litre tank set the tone, giving the KLE500 that rugged rally silhouette, while full LED lighting sharpens the look. Kawasaki’s kept the ergonomics spot-on too, with a KX-inspired seat, wide ’bars and adjustable screen making it just as comfortable bombing down trails as it is munching motorway miles.

Four seat configurations mean there’s a setup for everyone – from low, confidence-boosting heights to a fully flat layout for when you’re out of the saddle in the rough. Add in optional luggage, heated grips, and a touring-friendly riding position, and it’s clear Kawasaki wants the KLE500 to be a genuine do-it-all machine.

Suspension is handled by KYB kit at both ends – an inverted fork up front and a Uni-Trak setup at the rear – backed up by 21”/17” wheels running IRC GP-410 rubber. ABS can be switched off when you’re off the beaten path, while braking power comes from dual discs.
For those who want the premium touch, the SE model piles on extras like LED indicators, TFT dash with smartphone connectivity, a beefier skid plate, hand guards, and a taller screen. The Rideology app brings in navigation, voice commands and ride logging, while an Akrapovic titanium system is available as an official accessory for those chasing a bit more bark.

Available from March 2026 in three SE colour options – Pearl Blizzard White, Pearl Storm Gray and Metallic Bluish Green – and a standard Metallic Carbon Gray/Ebony, the new KLE500 marks the long-awaited return of a proper midweight Kawasaki adventurer. Price to be confirmed, so stay tuned.
