Carl Cox Motorsport is teaming up with Uggly&Co Racing to launch a serious attack on the North West 200, with Josh Brookes leading the charge.
The newly formed squad will field the ever-capable Suzuki GSX-R750 in the Supersport class, with Brookes – two-time British Superbike Champion and proven road racer -signed up for both races. It’s a move that instantly puts the team on the radar. Carl Cox is no stranger to backing winners. Through his motorsport outfit, he’s supported talent across two and three wheels for years, including TT legend Michael Dunlop. Now, he’s aligning with Uggly&Co, a brand deeply embedded in the racing scene, to take things to the next level.
Uggly&Co might be best known for its presence in paddocks across the globe – from BSB to the Isle of Man TT – but this marks a big step into running its own race team. Founded by Al Morris, the brand has long reinvested into the sport, supporting riders at every level. Now, it’s stepping into the spotlight. And they’ve picked their man wisely. Brookes has serious NW200 pedigree. Since debuting in 2013, he’s racked up podiums, set a blistering lap record in 2014, and clocked a staggering 212.4mph top speed in recent years. He’s been in the mix consistently… and now he’s gunning for that elusive first win.

The GSX-R750 package only strengthens that ambition. It’s a bike with a proven track record in Supersport trim, blending strong top-end performance with the kind of stability and agility needed for the fast, flowing Triangle circuit. Cox is clearly buzzing about the partnership, calling it the “perfect racing collab” and highlighting just how special the NW200 is on the global road racing calendar. Meanwhile, Morris sees this as the culmination of years of grassroots passion finally coming full circle.
As for Brookes? He’s all in. With a competitive bike, a fresh but well-backed team, and unfinished business at the North West, the ingredients are there. If everything clicks, don’t be surprised to see this trio shaking things up at the front. Game on.
