Some motorcycles come and go. Others leave a mark that can never be forgotten. The Kawasaki Ninja H2 is firmly in the latter camp, which is why we’re so excited to see Kawasaki’s supercharged flagship return for 2027.

First launched alongside the track-only H2R around a decade ago, the H2 was Kawasaki showing the world what happens when its motorcycle, aerospace and gas-turbine boffins get left in a room together. Now it’s back, and Kawasaki hasn’t simply dusted off the old girl. The 998cc supercharged four-cylinder engine has been comprehensively reworked, with a redesigned impeller and intake system joined by new pistons, cylinder head, cylinder, crankshaft, camshafts, throttle bodies and exhaust. Gear ratios have also been revised, while peak power stands at a meaty 209PS (roughly 206bhp) with Ram Air. More importantly, Kawasaki promises increased midrange torque and an even more pronounced shove as the revs climb.

The new exhaust is lighter and contributes to that stronger low-to-midrange performance, while the H2 retains its trellis frame, KYB AOS-II fork and Öhlins TTX36 rear shock. Braking gets an upgrade, too, with the H2 becoming the first Kawasaki to use Brembo Hypure calipers. There’s plenty of electronic wizardry, including revised traction and launch control, cornering management, engine-brake control, ABS and an electronic Öhlins steering damper. The TFT display also gets a makeover, with one layout inspired by the bike’s intake ducts and another going heavy on boost and aviation-inspired attitude information.

In addition, the Ninja H2 Carbon returns with its carbon-fibre upper cowl, while the frankly bonkers 300-plus-horsepower H2R remains available to order for track use.
UK availability will be extremely limited, with bikes arriving towards the end of 2026. Prices start at £28,600 for the H2, rising to £31,350 for the Carbon and £52,000 for the H2R.
