More news from the Kawasaki camp, that’ve just announced a sporty refresh to its middleweight 650, with sharper suspension, stronger brakes and a few useful tech upgrades.
Up front, the old telescopic forks make way for a 37mm Showa SFF-BP inverted setup, while revised rear suspension settings bring an uprated spring rate to match. Kawasaki reckons the changes deliver greater stability on corner entry, improved braking feel and a more planted chassis without sacrificing the bike’s approachable character.

Braking gets a serious upgrade, too. The previous axial-mount two-piston calipers have been replaced by radial-mount four-piston units, promising improved response and more linear braking performance.

The 649cc parallel twin remains the beating heart of the Ninja, while the lightweight trellis chassis and 785mm seat height continue to make it an accessible proposition. KTRC traction control remains standard, with two rider-selectable modes, while a quickshifter is available as an accessory.

There’s also a new 4.3-inch TFT dash, with Kawasaki’s Rideology smartphone connectivity now offering navigation and voice-command functions.
Available from December, the 2027 Ninja 650 will cost £7,499 and come in Lime Green or Metallic Flat Spark Black/Metallic Carbon Gray.
