SPY SHOTS: Aprilia’s RS 660 caught TESTING at Vallelunga. And it looks like it’s NEARLY FINISHED.

Aprilia’s all-new RS 660 has been caught out testing on track in Italy – and considering its nearly finished form, it looks like we won’t have to wait as long as we first thought for the new supersport machine to make it to market.

One of the most interesting bikes to be revealed at this year’s EICMA show in Milan, the Aprilia RS 660 attracted a lot of attention worldwide for its stylish design, clever active aerodynamics system, and because its powerplant uses half of an RSV4 1100 engine – more specifically, the forward bank of cylinders from the existing unit.

Caught in both track and road trim at Vallelunga with testing seemingly well underway, we reckon that Aprilia’s going to be launching its latest concept earlier than expected. Our money’s on it being debuted at next year’s EICMA show, before making it into the model lineup for 2020 – but at this stage only time will tell.
