This suit combo’s been the backbone of my riding gear over the last two years. It’s been thrown into all kinds of weather from snow storms to sunshine, coping well regardless. Both the jacket and trousers are waterproof, windproof and, most importantly, comfortable to wear. Which is mostly thanks to the abundance of adjusters that litter the garments; allowing you to get a good custom fit.
When I first got the kit, I initially thought the high visibility pockets were more there for gimmick than purpose, but they’ve proven a fantastic asset, actively increasing fellow road users’ awareness of my presence, both day and night. What’s more, when I’m after a slightly less blingy look, the front and rear reflective zones simply zip back behind a black outer. I also like the fact the kit’s so heavily armoured. It
came without a back protector but literally everywhere else was equipped with CE armour. If I was to pick fault, in an extreme storm, the zipper did let through a bit of water, but it was nothing too serious and I’ve since forgiven it because it’s performed so well every other time I’ve worn it, like it did in this issue’s enduro test. To say I’m impressed is an understatement.
