Popular motorcycle clothing brand, RST, is stepping onto the grid in a big way for 2026, competing at the legendary Isle of Man TT.
Heading up the squad is none other than 16-time TT winner Ian Hutchinson, who’ll line up on BMW Superbike and Superstock machinery as the brand makes its long-awaited move from safety partner to full-blown race team. For years, RST has been a constant presence at the TT, supplying protective kit as the event’s Official Safety Partner. Now, it’s taking things to the next level. TeamRST marks the first time the British brand has run its own operation on the island… and it’s not here to make up the numbers.
Hutchinson’s involvement is a massive statement in itself. He’s one of the most proven road racers of the modern era, and his experience will be key as the team builds its programme from the ground up. Behind the scenes, TeamRST is stacking up an impressive list of partners to make this happen. Big names like Arai, Motul, D3O, In&motion and EK Chain are all on board, alongside technical collaborators including BMC, PBR Sprockets and SMR Performance. It’s a serious line-up, and one that reaffirms this is a properly thought-out racing effort.

For Hutchinson, the project carries extra weight. It’s been more than two decades since he last ran his own team, and while he admits it’s a daunting prospect, the motivation is clear. After everything he’s achieved, and endured, at the TT, the drive to win is still very much there. From RST’s side, the goal is just as clear: give Hutchy everything he needs to fight at the front. Having worked with him for over 15 years, the brand knows exactly what he brings to the table… and what it takes to win on the roads.
