Harley Davidson authorised tours has added two new tour providers to the existing programme for 2015 – Lind Tours and Tour 1.

Speaking of the expansion, Marjorie Rae, Harley Davidson UK & Ireland Consumer Experience Manager said: “These are exciting times for the Authorised Tours programme. The introduction of the new Harley Davidson Project Rushmore Touring platform last year and this year’s epic Discover More ride has meant that we have higher demand than ever for riders who want to experience adventures at home and away on Harley Davidson motorcycles.

“Expanding the tour offering in variety and content makes Harley adventures more accessible to a wider range of customers, regardless of whether they want a short trip or a far-flung trip of a lifetime. We’re delighted to have been able to find two high quality and trustworthy partners and are confident that they will complement the existing Authorised Tours providers in delivering the best possible riding experiences.”

Lind Tours

Based at Guildford Harley Davidson, Lind Tours is the first ever dealership-based Harley Davidson Authorised Tours provider in the world, and combines the benefits of a tour company with a Harley Davidson Authorised Rentals dealer. This unique combination offers riders greater flexibility than ever before in terms of tailoring the trip to suit their needs and timescales.

The innovative short UK experience rides are perfect for riders who are returning to biking after a break, as well as those just looking to enjoy a new experience. They may, offer a more comfortable pillion alternative to their current machine or the chance to just get out on the open road without thinking about planning routes or activities.

All of these short ride options come in 2, 4 and 6 hour experience packages and offer great roads around the beautiful countryside of Surrey and Sussex, a well-maintained current model Harley Davidson Authorised Rental motorcycle and an experienced tour guide.

For those, looking for a longer trip, there are extended tours on offer at home and abroad, ranging from an 8-night Four Corners of Britain trip to rides of historical interest in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands with 8 nights’ accommodation and great food and wine.

In addition, for customers who already have a specific trip idea in mind but don’t have the time or experience to organise it, Lind Tours will tailor-make bespoke UK and European tours.

With the new operator’s base less than an hour away from Heathrow airport, they are expected to quickly become a popular choice for tourists who want their two-wheel fix while away from home.

Founded and run by active H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) member, experienced international rider and travel writer, Gary France, Tour 1 has been created to make it easy for riders and their partners to get to major Harley Davidson European events.

All trips are one week, one way rides with routes, hotel bookings and logistics taken care of, and when the party is over Tour 1 will organise to have your bike returned to the UK. Gary has partnered with trusted Harley Davidson Europe logistics partner, We Move Bikes, for complete peace of mind and customer confidence.

Next year’s events include St Tropez in France, Jerez in Spain and Faaker See in Austria – three of the biggest occasions on the Harley-Davidson European events calendar. All trips include attendance and accommodation for the duration of the event.
