Aprilia has filed designs for a three-wheeled motorcycle, that looks to be following in the footsteps of Yamaha’s leaning multi-wheeler oddity, the Niken.
The patent offers a pretty comprehensive view of the machine and is packed with intricate details, so chances are the bike/trike is probably well on its way. At this stage we don’t know any specific information about the newest machine from the Noale factory, but considering the Italian brand is owned by Piaggio, it’ll likely be making good use of the extensive know-how needed to produce its MP3 scooter, even if there will be some big differences in the form of the front suspension and linkage system.
