2015 MotoGP entry list revealed

The entry list for this year’s MotoGP World Championship has been revealed. There will be 25 riders lining up on the grid, 16 of them on factory machines – thanks to the much-anticipated return of Suzuki and Aprilia.

Testing starts this week (4-6 February) in Malaysia at Sepang and the first round kicks off on 29 March at the Losail Circuit in Qatar.

As always, there is a real mix of experience, with riders making the move from other classes in the championship and from further afield.

Maverick Viñales, 2013 Moto3 World Champion and 2014 Moto2 Rookie of the Year, will be lining up alongside Aleix Espargaro in the Suzuki garage. Moto3 rider, Jack Miller is riding as part of the CWM LCR Honda squad with Brit and fan-favourite Cal Crutchlow.

Frenchman, Loris Baz, arrives onto the MotoGP grid after a successful year with Kawasaki in the FIM Superbike World Championship – he will be partnering Stefan Bradl as part of the Forward Racing team and riding a Yamaha.

Irishman, Eugene Laverty, is taking the step from WSBK to MotoGP as he joins the Drive M7 Aspar team and MotoGP veteran, Marco Melandri, is returning after a spate in World Superbikes as he becomes part of the Aprilia Racing Team Gresini.

With podium regulars including Marc Marquez, Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo also on the rest of the grid – who will you be rooting for?
