Motorcycling legend Giacomo Agostini will join a host of two-wheeled stars for a major new event, the International Classic, at Lincolnshire’s Cadwell Park on 25/26 July. The most successful rider in World Championship history will meet fans and ride a 500cc MV Agusta at the venue’s two-day celebrations of its long and distinguished association with motorcycle racing.
The International Classic will feature guest appearances from legendary riders, with parades, demonstrations, live music, air displays and a packed programme of two-wheeled competition. The event builds on the success of last year’s 80th Anniversary celebration meeting at Cadwell Park, which attracted a huge crowd. The most popular elements of the anniversary event have been retained, but with the racing programme substantially strengthened and much more off-track entertainment introduced.
Returning to the Lincolnshire track where he once battled contemporary rivals in front of adoring fans, 15-time World Champion Agostini will be joined by Phil Read, John Cooper, Jim Redman, Derek Chatterton, Alex George, Mick Grant, and many more stars to be announced at a later date. These heroes of the sport will take part in track parades on classic motorcycles.
