Italian designer Yacouba Galle has introduced his vision of a high-tech, deluxe motorcycle – Feline.  “Its unique look creates an immediate impact with its unusual sensual panther style.” says the press release.

We’re told the machine – the result of four years of technological research – will be made from the highest quality materials, with parts manufactured by top worldwide experts.

“The class and elegance of the high-grade materials come to the fore without any visible means of fastening: carbon, titanium, aerospace aluminium and fine leather are part of the materials used in Feline.

“Much more than a motorcycle, FELINE is the combination of sophistication and high technology for highly demanding customers looking for innovative and unique novelties .”

The main innovation in the design is said to lie in its aesthetics – clean lines enhanced by a powerful front and a hook-shaped back. A high-definition digital dashboard will, we’re told, bring new and fully customizable features. “Feline is sharpened and expresses a fascination for speed and freedom of movement. Its uniqueness and remarkable features make it also a great candidate for Hollywood movie productions.” There appears to be a lean-angle warning display, though how far over you need to be leant for this to illuminate isn’t clear!

Apparently, Feline is also a “highly powerful efficient machine on roads and tracks”. The designer claims the bike will weigh just 155kg, and be powered by an 800cc 170bhp triple. A rigid titanium and carbon fibre frame link to a unique anti-dive fork that will, Yacouba says, have fibre springs – a technology already being developed by Italian company Sogefi for Audi.

When asked what manufacturer will be producing the engine, MoreBikes was told “The engine is based on a modified one from Italian maker… We can’t disclose more at this stage of the project.” It looks a lot like an MV Agusta motor to us, though if so, it would mean the Brutale 800’s engine would need an extra 30bhp teasing from it.

“For 10 years I tested the best machines around the world,” Yacouba said, “and my conclusion has been to make a synthesis of two worlds: the best that I encountered and my vision of the motorbike of the future, Feline was born!”

50 bikes are said to be due for release early 2016, starting at $280,000. We’ve registered our interest for a test-ride, so we’ll wait and see…
