R&G has announced a full range of products for the lightweight, A2-licence compliant Yamaha YZF-R3 – ahead of its official launch.
Just as it did with the YZF-R3’s older brother, the all-new Yamaha YZF-R1 Superbike, R&G has become one of the first crash protection developers in the world to prototype products for the machine before the World’s press even rides it.
The UK-based company has developed a collection of aftermarket products to not only ‘trick up’ the machine, but also help ensure it is kept in perfect condition. The current announced range of products includes:
- Tail Tidy
- Aero Crash Protectors
- Bar End Sliders
- Engine Case Covers
- Exhaust Hanger
- Footrest Blanking Plates
- Fork Protectors
- Mirror Blanking Plates
- Cotton Reels for paddock stands
- Radiator Guard
- Swingarm Protectors
- Front Indicators and adaptors
- Tank Slider
- Tail Slider
- Outdoor Cover
- Tank Traction Pads

Following the stylish race replica trend of its elder siblings, the R6 and R1, the R3 appeals to the young, sports minded rider and with the cost of insurance and riding rising, should the worst happen then the range of R&G products will help protect the machine from serious – and costly – damage.
R&G UK Sales Manager Alan Garrett commented: “We’re incredibly excited to be amongst one of the first companies to offer crash protection and aftermarket products for the all-new Yamaha YZF-R3. Following the trend of the rest of the ‘R’ range, the bike looks fantastic with impressive ‘big bike’ handling. Our range of products will not only help to add to the stylish look of the machine, but give riders peace of mind that their motorcycle will remain protected.”
