Topping off the new Tiger 800 range, the XCA and XRT take the ethos of adventure a step further.  Each is fitted with a host of equipment to provide the perfect adventure partner.  Both models share the latest evolution of Triumph’s powerful torque-laden 95PS 800cc triple engine, featuring enhanced fuel efficiency (up to 17% on the new combined cycle) and delivering up to 272 miles of riding on a single tank.  The new engine sits in a revised chassis and is coupled to a suite of rider-focused technologies including ride-by-wire throttle for improved response and rideability, three switchable riding modes and switchable ABS and traction control as standard.

TIGER 800 XRT

For riders who have set their heart on discovering what’s over the next horizon, the Tiger 800 XRT offers a superb take on a new generation of distance riding experiences.  With improved ergonomics and standard fit of a comfort package that incorporates heated rider and passenger seats and heated grips as standard, the Tiger 800XRT has been designed and refined over thousands of miles to give an incredibly engaging ride.  The 95PS triple engine and enhanced chassis combine to deliver superb road ride, with the ability to tailor performance to the climate and conditions via the Tiger XRT’s three switchable riding modes.  A 19 inch front wheel and 17 inch rear cast aluminium rims are designed to complement the Tiger XRT’s excellent road manners.

Equipment levels are generous, developed with insight into the needs of the modern touring and adventure rider. From cruise control and an advanced trip computer to adjustable screen and hand guards, all fitted as standard, every mile is made easier.  Knowing that distance riders require the ability to operate a number of auxiliary accessories such as GPS systems, heated clothing or charging mobile equipment, Triumph engineers have equipped the Tiger 800 XRT with a larger 650W alternator. This means that additional equipment can be powered without having an adverse effect on the bike’s electrical system.  To further enhance the Tiger 800 XRT’s touring capability LED fog lights are fitted as standard and the bike comes prepared with the standard fitment of pannier rails ready to accept the optional Expedition luggage set.

TIGER 800 XCA

For those who like to ride a little more off the beaten path, the new Tiger 800 XCA is the top tier of the Tiger XC family. Featuring the same 95PS triple engine and ride-by-wire throttle as its road-biased stablemates, the new model is enhanced with a host of off-road features.  Chief amongst these is the WP suspension front and rear giving greater front and rear wheel travel to tackle tough terrain.  Details such as heated grips, heated rider and passenger seats, CNC machined foot rests, a larger 650W alternator to power accessories and LED fog lights as standard complete the XCA’s premium presentation.  Finally the XCA is fitted with aluminium pannier rails (which accept the optional Expedition luggage) and 3 auxiliary sockets to complete the adventure offer.

ACCESSORIES AND WARRANTY

Triumph’s accessories division offers a full range of official accessories for the NEW Tiger 800 range, including performance enhancing slip on silencers, protection equipment and the NEW Expedition aluminium luggage system (designed to work with the pannier rails fitted as standard to the new Tiger 800 XRT and Tiger 800 XCA).

Each Expedition Pannier has a capacity of 37 litres, attaching to bespoke mounting frames. The Expedition Top Box has a capacity of 42 litres, and fits to floating mounting assembly ensuring performance levels are not compromised even when fully loaded. Both have a quick release attachment for ease of use. The Expedition luggage features the added security of a “one key” locking mechanism, using the bike’s ignition key, removing the inconvenience of having multiple keys.  Waterproof inner bags are also available.
