Meet ‘Zecoo’. The world’s funkiest electric bike (and it’s real)

Normally, we’re not so bowled over by one-off electric scooters – but then, every now and then, we see one that looks like this.

This is called the ‘Zecoo’ (urgh) and is built in Japan by a group calling themselves Kota Nezu. We don’t know that much about this bike at the moment other than what we can see, but we know that we like the single-sided front and rear swingarms, the six-pot front caliper, the rim-mounted brakes, the belt drive and the Nitron track shocks.

Most of the component parts of the Zecoo are milled from aluminium alloy and the bodywork looks like it’s carbon fibre weave, so the chances are that this sort of thing isn’t cheap. But it Kota Nezu can find a way of making these at a reasonable price then we reckon they might have just made the most awesome electric bike we’ve seen yet.
