VIDEO SHOCK Canepa’s front brake grab and rival’s crash

This is the shocking moment that a WSB rider,Althea racer Niccolo Canepa, reaches across and jabs a rival’s front brake on, causing the other rider to crash at Mugello during a test in 2013.

The footage comes from a locked-off trackside camera. Yeah, we’re meant to say alleged and all that sort of stuff, but quite frankly, you can clearly see what’s happened. Canepa, the 2007 Superstock Champion, is due to face assault charges in a hearing in Florence at the end of September for the move on David Cappato who suffered a broken collarbone in the fall.

What do you reckon to this? Looks like the rod of justice is going to come down pretty hard on the offender if what we’re hearing is correct.
