A fire has swept through the Fantic production sheds at Treviso in Italy leaving bikes and machinery destroyed and causing a million Euros of damage.

The fire broke out around midnight on Wednesday August 5, ten fire engines attended the blaze with the first unit arriving on site at 1.15am.

According to reports, the majority of Fantic stock on site was stored in sheds not affected by the fire. But the level of damage is already being costed up at a million Euro.

So far there has been no announcement by Fantic as to whether the fire will effect supply of motorcycles in the immediate future.
