Triumph’s US subsidiary has been fined up to US $ 2.9 million for ‘violating safety practices’. The National Highway Traffic Safety Association ruled the company failed to report a steering defect that affected some 1,300 bikes in good time.

Triumph has been fined US $ 1.4 million in cash with a further US $ 500,000 to be spent on safety practices. The company could be fined an additional US $ 1 million if further violations arise.
