The V9 Bobber is a darker and sportier looking version of the new V9, with large tyres mounted on 16 inch rims. It has the same 850cc engine as the Roamer and features identical rider aids. Founded in 1921 (in 2016 it will turn 95 years of age) Moto Guzzi introduces V9, the fun, light, painstakingly crafted medium engine capacity custom, heir to more than forty years of custom heritage. Moto Guzzi V9 opens up a new product and engine capacity segment in the Mandello del Lario range and it was designed in two completely different versions. The more conventional and bright version is called the V9 Roamer and it picks up the sceptre left behind by the legendary Nevada, part of the range for more than two decades and popular because of how user-friendly it was for riders of all ages, male or female, whereas the V9 Bobber represents the darker and more sporty soul of Moto Guzzi, standing out with an essential, total black look and large tyres mounted on 16 inch rims. The two new medium engine capacity Moto Guzzis are characterised by exceptional construction quality and painstakingly crafted details: from the weld points on the new frame to the paintwork on the metal tank, Moto Guzzi spared no effort raising the bar to set new quality standards, using more and more noble materials such as aluminium. The overall reduced dimensions, along with the reduced saddle height, make it easy to ride and control even at a standstill, also aided by the overall weight of the V9, coming in at just 200 kg, a true record in the category. Such a sturdy, lightweight and fun chassis combines with a Moto Guzzi 850cc, two valve, transversal 90° V-twin engine, completely new and designed to increase elasticity and torque to top levels. In fact, it develops 62 Nm torque at just 3,000 rpm in order to guarantee character, ease of use and quick response from low rpms. The standard equipment that comes on the two Moto Guzzi V9 machines is plentiful and includes ABS, adjustable traction control (which can also be disabled), immobilizer, USB port as well as new and complete instrumentation on a single, circular dash. The range of available Moto Guzzi original accessories is exceptional, starting with the MG-MP multimedia platform that connects the V9 to the rider’s smartphone, all the way through the extremely vast selection of personalisations to make your bike a true custom.
