Here’s a new video from Yamaha that shows the firm’s adaptive cornering light system on the new FJR1300,
The lean-over lights are new for the big model this year and are automatically turned on as the bike is leaned over. The lights are linked to the machine’s Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), which knows how upright or over a bike is in a corner.
Three LED lights are mounted in the headlight’s sealed unit, just above the main bulbs. As the bike is leaned further over in a corner more lights are lit. If you get the bike over a long way in a turn then all three LEDs are turned on.
