Here’s a nice video showing how the BMW concept smart helmet with heads-up display will work once it hits production. Earlier this week we reported on the helmet having heads up display, camera, communications and even a mini-computer built in, and now BMW has released a video to show how might feel like to wear a helmet like this.

In the video the helmet display shows engine checks and the planned route before setting off. On the road the rider is kept up to date with information about speed, gear, route changes and roadworks. There’s also a camera in the helmet that can record the ride. Caller details appear on the screen and you can receive route files.


As it’s a BMW video there’s also some nice RnineT’s riding around.
