The Japanese factory has just displayed a new Africa Twin in China – but it’s not what you’d expect… it’s a little one.
The CRF190 is powered by a 185cc air-cooled twin cylinder motor, which kicks out a meagre 16hp – but it’s not the engine that’s the exiting part. It’s all the adventure-focused goodies that come as standard. It gets a 13.5 litre tank, a respectable 241mm of ground clearance and there’s spoked wheels too (19inch up front and 17inch at the rear). The seat’s 830mm high and it weighs in at 145kg – and there’s ABS, LED lights and a USB socket too.
It’s a good-looking little bike, that’s sure to excite younger riders eager for their first taste to adventure. Sadly, it’s fairly unlikely we’ll ever see the bike make it over to British shores – but there is a smaller capacity version of Honda’s iconic Africa Twin tipped for the European market (more likely a 750 than a 190), which we’re hoping isn’t too far away from release.
