The 2022 race, originally planned for March, was postponed because of the pandemic and covid restrictions in place at the time. The race kicks off on October 15 in Monaco and ends at the famous Lac Rose in Dakar on October 30.

Two Wheels for Life is now an official charity partner with both Africa Eco Race and with the factory Yamaha Racing team which will be racing heavily modified Yamaha Tenere 700s with Pol Tarres and former Africa Eco Race winner Alessandro Botturi.

Shortly after the end of the Africa Eco Race, those who have bought tickets for the prize draw running with Yamaha will be in with a chance of winning the factory Yamaha Tenere 700 raced by Pol Tarres. There’s still plenty of time to enter the competition here.

Launched in 2008, the Eco Race continues the tradition of racing the famous route from France and through North and West Africa that became notorious through its extreme off-road challenge from Paris to Dakar.

The Africa Eco Race puts a special focus on sustainability and charitable work to support African communities which makes the partnership a great fit. Two Wheels for Life are also excited that working together will bring our work to the attention of new audiences in the rally racing world.

Africa Eco Race’s Anthony Schlesser said: “It’s with real pleasure that we are able to welcome Two Wheels for Life and Riders for Health into our Africa Eco Race 2022 edition charity partner’s programme.
