RideTo, a Brighton-based motorcycle training platform, completed a 900-mile charity journey from Brighton to John O’Groats on 125cc motorcycles, raising funds for Two Wheels for Life
RideTo, the UK’s #1 platform for motorcycle training, has completed an ambitious four-day ride from Brighton to John O’Groats on 125cc motorcycles, raising over £2,500 (and counting) for the charity Two Wheels for Life.

The Coast to Coast Charity Ride, which took place from 29 May to 1 June, covered over 800 miles across England and Scotland. It showed that small-capacity motorcycles, the type most new riders start with after completing their CBT, are more than capable of long-distance travel.
The campaign was designed to raise awareness of Two Wheels for Life, a UK charity that funds life-saving medical transport programmes in sub-Saharan Africa. In many areas, motorcycles are the only reliable way for health workers to reach remote communities.
“This ride wasn’t just about adventure, it was about showing what motorcycles can do,” said James Beddows, CEO and Founder of RideTo. “These bikes weren’t really built for this kind of journey, but that was the point. We wanted to inspire new riders and support a brilliant cause at the same time.”
Riders, Route and Purpose
The team of three riders — all on L-plate-friendly 125cc bikes — started at Brighton Pier and finished at John O’Groats, the northernmost point of mainland Britain. Their only rule: no bikes over 125cc.
The riders were:
· James Beddows: CEO & Founder of RideTo
· Kane Avellano: World record holder for the youngest person to circumnavigate the globe on a motorcycle
· Levana Wolf: Automotive presenter and motorbike content creator

Across four days, the group rode through the Peak District , Yorkshire Dales and the Scottish Highlands, tackling rough weather, long hours and minor breakdowns, including a late-night mechanical fix on day two. A light-hearted “one-tank challenge” also saw one rider reach 205 miles on a single tank of fuel.
Despite the challenges, the campaign has already exceeded its fundraising target of £1,400, enough to buy one motorcycle for a Two Wheels for Life healthcare worker.
The Ride, Captured on Film
The full ride has been captured in a new 30-minute documentary, now available on RideTo’s YouTube channel. The film shows the reality of riding small-capacity bikes across the UK: the breakdowns, the team dynamic, and the vast landscapes along the way.

The video aims to inspire new or returning riders to see motorcycling as both accessible and meaningful, particularly those who may only just be starting out on a CBT.
