Each autumn, as the riding season winds down, the Stafford County Showground comes alive. This October 11–12, the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show, sponsored by Carole Nash, returns as the grand finale of the biking year, uniting thousands of enthusiasts for a weekend of motorcycling heritage, live action, great deals and entertainment for all the family.

Daniel Nield, Associate Director from Carole Nash says: “We’re proud to be sponsoring the Classic Motorcycle Mechanics Show this October and delighted to be a part of an event that celebrates both classic motorcycle culture and the wider biking community. With something for every motorcycle enthusiast to enjoy, we look forward to an incredible weekend.”

Running since the 1980s, the show has become a cornerstone of Britain’s motorcycling calendar showcasing some of the best early Japanese and European marques. While April starts the season, October’s event is the one not to miss, the last big gathering before winter, with a festival feel and a loyal following.

Across the showground, there’s more than just bikes. Stafford’s massive autojumble draws collectors and casual browsers alike, with everything from vintage carburettors to rare fuel tanks and full frames changing hands. It’s the perfect place to start a winter restoration or snap up a hidden gem.

A major highlight is the Bonhams auction, which continues to break records. In 2024, sales hit £3.24 million, including a 1936 Vincent-HRD that fetched £322,000, and Triumph bikes donated by Daniel Craig, which raised £60,000 for the RNLI.

But there’s plenty for families too. Back for 2025, the Bolddog FMX team will wow crowds with gravity-defying stunts, soaring 35 feet into the air from the world’s largest mobile landing system. Also returning is the legendary Wall of Death, with the Fox family delivering high-speed thrills on a vertical wall, a show that has to be seen to be believed.

Racing legends Wayne Gardner and Roger Marshall will also be live on stage, sharing stories from their incredible careers in motorcycling. Whether you’re a die-hard biker, a casual fan, or looking for a family day out, the show offers something for everyone, bikes, bargains, live action and a buzzing community atmosphere.
