Suzuki GB has confirmed Powerslide Suzuki as its official entry in the Pirelli British Sportbike Championship for 2026 — the support series to the Bennetts British Superbike Championship (BSB). The team will field four GSX-8Rs, with Asher Durham returning for his second season alongside Finn Smart-Weeden, Australian rider Brodie Gawith, and 2025 British Superteen champion Henry Snell.
Durham enjoyed a strong 2025 campaign with two wins and three further podiums, staying in contention for the runner-up spot until the final round at Brands Hatch, where he crashed out in tough conditions while battling for the lead. The race — and the championship — went to Kas Beekmans, also on a GSX-8R. Smart-Weeden joins the squad looking to reboot his form after injuries disrupted recent seasons, though his talent is proven, including the 2023 British Junior Supersport title.
Suzuki GB’s motorcycle marketing manager, Jak Tyrrell, said the decision to partner more closely with Powerslide was “a logical step,” praising the team’s professionalism, podium-scoring performances and the GSX-8R’s success both on track and on the road. Team principal Brad Clarke added that the focus is firmly on a 2026 title fight, with the 8R’s potential now fully unlocked after two seasons of development.

The race-ready GSX-8R uses Suzuki’s acclaimed 776cc twin-cylinder engine, delivering strong torque and midrange punch. It features a bi-directional quickshifter, selectable power and traction modes, and a full-colour TFT dash, and is currently offered with 5.9% APR Representative finance.
