Barry Sheene’s world championship-winning Suzukis will headline this year’s Classic Suzuki Sunday event, which takes place on Sunday 11 September at the Super Sausage café.
The event, now in its third year, will see the iconic racing machines – that won the 1976 and 1977 world championships with Sheene onboard – displayed alongside Michael Dunlop’s Vintage Parts-supported XR69, which set a new lap record and new race record on the way to victory at this year’s Classic TT on the Isle of Man.
Also on display will be the TL1000S that was built from brand new components, highlighting the availability of genuine Suzuki parts for older machines, as well as the GSX-R750F that was refurbished and restored at Motorcycle Live to celebrate the 30th anniversary of GSX-R last year.
Tim Davies, Suzuki GB Aftersales marketing coordinator, said: “Our Classic Suzuki Sundays have become some of our favourites events on the calendar. It’s great every year to see everyone that turns up on their bikes, and spends time talking to us about the more classic machines and our commitment to keeping them alive with our parts programmes. Having Barry Sheene’s bikes with us will make this year’s event extra special, plus we’re also very excited to have Dunlop’s XR69 that won at the Classic TT last month. We’re looking forward to the day, and seeing everyone that comes along.”
This year’s Classic Suzuki Sunday takes place at the Super Sausage café on the A5, near Potterspury.
