Months ago, we first told you about stuntman Eddie Braun’s upcoming attempt to complete the Evel Knievel canyon jump – and here’s the latest pictures of Braun and the new Sky Cycle rocket he’s going to do the jump in.

Braun is recreating the famous stunt as the ultimate fan tribute. He’s going to cross the same canyon that Knievel attempted in 1974 in a new rocket powered by compressed steam. The rocket has been built and designed by the son of the original engineer, ex-NASA man Bob Truax.

Hollywood stuntman Eddie Braun, plans to strap himself into a steam-powered rocket cycle on September 17 for his most death-defying role yet – replicating a launch over the Snake River Canyon in Idaho. A stunt that almost cost Knievel his life when first tried 42 years ago.
