Montesa launches the gorgeous new 300 RR…

Montesa has unveiled its new Cota 300 RR.

This is the second edition of the more exclusive trail bike with more performance on tap than the standard, non-RR version.

The four-stroke single-cylinder 282cc motor (the standard bike uses a 260) has come in for a complete top end overhaul. The piston head has a new flatter top and the combustion efficiency had been inmproved. The cylinder has also been redesigned to accommodate the newer, flatter piston.

The forks have been uprated and the brakes get a new monobloc unit and new hydraulics. Montesa says that the bike makes more power low down and is easier to ride. No price announced yet for the 2017 model.
