It’s the MotoGP round at Misano this weekend and Alex Lowes is carrying on his positive vibe after his points-scoring debut on the Tech 3 Yamaha at Silverstone.
Leading up to the Italian round, Lowes said: “After getting my first MotoGP race out the way, I feel much calmer and prepared for Misano because I have a rough idea about what to expect.
“I really enjoyed the British Grand Prix, and I learnt a huge amount in just a few days, especially during the race on Sunday and now I believe we are in a better position this weekend because I have raced at Misano in June and the track is still fresh in my memory.
“Plus I will be able to give the team some feedback which wasn’t really the case at Silverstone. So the plan is to get as many laps as possible under my belt on Friday because I still haven’t completed my first 100 laps on the bike yet. Overall, the plan isn’t for a certain position but I am going into this round looking to reduce the gap to the winner. There’s lots of work to do but now the first bit of MotoGP nerves are out of the way I can get my head down and get on it.”
