Intermot show: Shoei launches new 2017 helmet – the RYD.

This is the Shoei RYD. It’s the latest addition to the Japanese helmet maker’s range and it’s just been launched at Intermot.

Details on it are scarce at the minute but what we do know is that the RYD is probably going to sit at about mid-range, it’s coming in five colours; tangerine, black, white, matte black and grey – pictured below.

The shell has a five layer AIM construction for lightweight and high strength and it also comes with EQRS, the emergency quick release system should your helmet need to be removed in a fall.

There’s also four separate shell seizes to get you the best fitting and Shoei says that the helmet has an advanced ventilation system. We like the look of this very much. What do you reckon to it?
