Honda’s CB500F special is the sweetest bolt-on bitsa special we’ve seen yet. Cafe Racer goes modern in a cool way.

Honda had a couple of interesting specials (they’re not really specials, much more tweaked new models put out to gauge public reaction) – and the sweetest of them at the Indonesian show was this CB500F.

We’ve brought you various versions of CB500s over the past few months, a few of which were pretty similar in overall design to this.

But this one caught our eye just because it’s really nicely done.

The chassis and motor are stock units but the bike’s headlight, exhausts, side panels and seat unit are new.

So, the biggest question is, when are Honda going to make these ‘kits’ available to CB500 buyers? Surely this could be done as a bolt-on special for a few quid. We reckon that there would be a load of them on the roads quickly if Honda was to punt these add-ons out.
