It’s the first day of the MotoGP winter tests today and – as usual – nine times world champion Valentino Rossi has unveiled this new helmet design which he will use for the opening salvo of quick laps at Sepang.

Despite the sweltering weather in Malaysia, the new AGV Pista GP R helmet of Valentino is typically wintry. Designed as a snow globe, the helmet pays homage to the Doctor’s hometown, featuring the miniature of the picturesque landscape of Tavullia covered with snow, enclosed in a glass sphere…

There’s no news whether AGV will release a road going version of this lid, yet, but the Italian company has made punter versions of the Rossi winter testing design available before so there’s a good chance that we will see this on dealer’s shelves sometime later this year.
