A couple of years ago we were the first to show you Project 2&4, a Honda concept that was – essentially a track car powered by the firm’s MotoGP RCV motor.
Honda said that the car would put out over 250bhp but still have the instant ‘snap’ power delivery of the brutal bike engine.
The concept, shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show, caught the eye largely because of the exposed driving seat on the left hand side of the car. Honda made it clear that this concept was, at the time, a single-seat car that would appeal to fans of high-end two and four wheel fun.
But now these new Honda patents show a layout that looks very similar to that original concept, but the car boys are getting all frothy-mouthed about this thing because – if this is the 2&4 concept made real – it’s got two seats and what looks like road-needed furniture like lights etc.
What do you reckon? Would you fancy a blat in this on the road? We’d like to chuck it about a track but as for a soggy high street in the rain… we’re not so sure…
