A while ago we first brought you Indian’s plans to go flat track racing in the USA, then we brought you the first look at the bike that came from those plans – the FTR750.
The bike is gorgeous and looks like a proper weapon, at the time we told you that we’d heard many rumours of the bike moving from the track to the road with a street-legal version expected to appear some time in 2018.
Well now the Indian factory has announced that, if you’re up for spending $50,000 (£40,625) then it will make you your own FTR racebike.
Yep, for about two-thirds of the price of a Ducati Superleggera you can have a bike that is identical to the racers that the factory has invested huge amounts of money bringing up to AMA flat track pace.
The bike features a high-revving, custom V-twin engine developed in-house and is wrapped in a unique steel frame that allows for a tight wheelbase, large centrally located airbox and unique lightweight carbon fibre bodywork.
